News Analyzer is delivered with some volume of presubscribed news channels so that you can start to download news for the subscribed channels immediately. News Downloader is responsible for downloading news.  The most important News Downloader Options have the following settings by default:

It means that News Downloader will start to download news via RSS feeds immediately after you switch on your computer or install News Analyzer and that News Downloader will check news providers for news information every 60 minutes. After the first set of news  is downloaded into your news database, you can read and analyze them.

You can use Silent mode if you would like to hide news downloading process.

If the channel requires proxy setting you should  check "Use Proxy" box and enter the settings according to the channel specifications. If you change any settings then you have to press "Apply" button.

 

After you started your computer you can see News Downloader in the Tray.

Right mouse click at the News Downloader pops up the context menu where you can open News Downloader Form, Start or Stop downloading news immediately.

If you open News Downloader form while it downloads news, you can see the progress bars with the notes of what news providers and channels are processing at this moment in the Download tab.

Sometimes after the news are downloaded you can see  the errors list. Please take into attention that some of the news providers  could have been on the heavy side and so the channel  could have been not accessible for a while.  You should repeat downloading from the dropped channels.
